About induction hardened surface layer grain size

What's mean "ISO index G=7"?
I guess it is"Grade 7" , but Idon't know which ISO standard? And which chinese standard corresponds to it?
Please help me! thank you very much!

I think that ISO refers to International Standardization Organization.
" index"should be interpreted as "provision".

you can search the iso spec on the web site.

In the first page in the some GB/T standards, you can see GB****=ISO*****, that mean the info in the 2 standard is the same, pls find the the GB standard about grain size evaluation,if the you can see GB****=ISO*****, word ,that mean the same info with ISO, then it can be referenced.

GB and ISO are very identical in terms of grain size.

Many GB standards copy or refer to other countrys`, such as Japanese and American. Nowdays, in order to make all standards follow in all countrys of the world. Those people who called "ISO" make the ISO standards.

Grade 7 in GB/T6394-2002,And the size is 28.24um,so it is equal to the iso standard you provide !
